Maryam Bonyadian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles, CA, with over 14 years of experience helping clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, and grief/loss. She is also an adjunct professor, a clinical supervisor, and an author of children's books focused on mindfulness and big feelings. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and her master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Maryam's approach emphasizes mental wellness rather than illness. She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based interventions to help clients explore alternative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that can better support their goals. She believes that while our thoughts and past experiences shape who we are, we have the capacity to create new narratives and patterns that serve us more effectively. In sessions, clients can expect a collaborative and compassionate environment where their strengths and cultural background are valued. Fluent in English, Armenian, and Spanish, Maryam is mindful of the impact that culture, family, and life experiences have on each person's story.
